The Level 4 Awards and Certificate in External Quality Assurance of Assessment are available for all candidates who fulfill the following criteria set by the Awarding Organisations:
Age range: 19+
Core skills: (English, Maths) At least to A Levels standard.
Access to Internet using a laptop / pc / tablet using up to date Windows, Android or Apple operating systems.
Access to two independent educational centres for the purpose of conducting external quality assurance activities (for Unit 2 only).
In this course there are three units but only two are available in Pakistan. In the first unit you will understand the concept and principles of External Quality Assurance. You will study its main functions, its role in Quality Assurance of assessment, and its requirement in Education and Training.
The second unit will explore how to plan, evaluate, maintain and manage information relevant to the external quality assurance of assessment. You will study how to produce a work plan for Quality Assurance Verification, show that you are able to allocate and agree responsibilities with team members, monitor the progress and quality of work and review and amend plans of Quality Assurance related activities and communicate changes to all persons involved.
The Level 4 External Quality Assurance course will also cover the importance of planning EQA activities to explain how to adapt, monitor, evaluate, and manage external processes to meet the UK requirements of quality assurance. You will also study the importance of providing feedback, support and advice to staff that is set within standardised requirements.
Your tutor will conduct a detailed personalised 1:1 initial assessment/interview with you before you begin your Level 4 Qualification in External Quality Assurance. During this interview you will discuss and agree:
Unit 1: Understanding the Principles and Practices of Externally Assuring the Quality of Assessment
3 x essay-style assignments
Assignments can be presented in the format of tables,
Work documents can be used instead of theory assignments e.g. IQA / EQA reports, policies, procedures, verification records etc
Unit 2: Externally Assure the Quality of Assessment
Work documents including:
1 x draft/initial external quality assurance plan, 1 x final EQA plan, quality assurance / verification evidence, EQA feedback and report, management of all the data.
Wherever possible we will work with you to fulfill the assessment criteria using your existing work evidence.
